The People Systems Manager assists the HRIS Analysts in managing Human Resource Information Systems, focusing on People Systems Technology, and providing support to end users on the day-to-day functionality of the systems.

This position can be 100% remote but would require a minimum of quarterly paid travel to Headquarters in Columbia MO.

The People Systems Manager will support and maintain the organization’s Workday HRIS/HCM applications and modules. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, and writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Spearhead day-to-day administration, configuration, and optimization of the Workday system to meet organizational needs.

  • Develop and execute the Workday roadmap closely with key stakeholders, ensuring continuous alignment with evolving business requirements.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization through Workday automation, gathering business requirements, and proposing enhancements.

  • Drive improvements to streamline HR and business processes, ensuring heightened efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage a team of Workday support staff, delegating tasks judiciously, and fostering ongoing skill development.

  • Provide leadership oversight for Workday releases and conduct regular maintenance to adhere to system best practices.

  • Deliver comprehensive training and support to super users and end-users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring user proficiency.

  • Develop and maintain robust training materials and documentation to facilitate continuous system education.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the assigned system(s) and understand functional gaps.

  • Maintain knowledge of future system upgrades/releases and assess impact on current processes.

  • As directed, led the implementation, upgrade, and daily maintenance of functionality within assigned systems, including creating timelines and working in conjunction with functional end users as needed to ensure tasks were completed.

  • Solicit feedback from end users on system functionality. Research if end-user concerns can be addressed with modification to existing system functionality.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Workday Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on configuration experience across multiple Workday modules and at least 3 years of Workday/HRIS team management experience.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, translating business requirements into effective system solutions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement Excellence: Exhibit a strong customer service orientation, along with proficiency in engaging and persuading stakeholders.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, or equivalent expertise in a business environment.

  • At least three years of experience working with recruiting technologies with HR Information Systems and a good understanding of how data is stored and flows across modules.

  • Preferred - Recent experience with enterprise-level HRIS (Workday and UKG) and applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse)

  • Solid knowledge of HR business processes.
