EquipmentShare is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal

EquipmentShare is looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team that will report to our Associate General Counsel - Litigation & Employment. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for supporting all phases of the litigation process as well as executing a number of administrative tasks. The successful candidate should have a strong background in litigation and be able to manage a variety of tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute administrative duties (calendar depositions, hearings and deadlines, manage logistics, organize case files, manage legal invoices etc)

  • Organize and manage litigation pleadings and discovery and employment matters, using internal Matter Management software (LawVu), ensuring all documents are filed in a timely manner

  • Set up outside counsel law firms in legal invoicing system, review bills, and coordinate with other departments to ensure payment to firms and other legal vendors

  • Coordinate CLE compliance and licensing requirements of attorneys in the Legal Department

  • Assist attorneys with responding to discovery, including document production and subpoenas

  • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

  • Assist with litigation hold obligations, including the collection and retention of devices and documents subject thereto

  • Assist with case settlement documentation and payments

  • Liaise with outside counsel as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a litigation paralegal

  • Paralegal associate degree or other relevant certification highly preferred

  • Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal

  • Extensive computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using multiple softwares and technology platforms to manage matters, contracts, invoices, documents, etc.

  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
