Insight Global TS/SCI W/ Poly Security Controls Assessor in Columbia, Maryland
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a fully cleared Security Controls Assessor to sit fully onsite in Columbia, MD. This individual will be responsible for conducting verification and validation testing for security compliance on all information systems, products, and components. They will be testing these for both new authorization and re-authorization. From analyzing design specifications, documentation, configuration practices, and operational practices, they will put together a plan of what security controls must be tested against and how to do so. They will also be putting together reports on where their assessments failed/passed in addition to potential recommendations. This person will be very collaborative both with the internal team and government customers, so communication is essential.
Compensation:
$90/hr to $130/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
- 12 years of related experience
o Experience in security or system engineering
- IAT Level 3 certification
- Great writing and communication skills
- Experience conducting verification and validation for security compliance on information systems, products, and components
- Ability to provide vulnerability assessments on various systems
- Experience utilizing Nessus
- Familiarity with both Linux and Windows systems
- Ability to work well with other members of the team as well as government customers - Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to travel as needed
- Familiarity with virtualized environments and systems null
