Kaizen Approach, Inc Test Engineer in Columbia, Maryland

Are you mission focused and ready to be with a team that truly values your contributions? We are currently seeking an experienced Test Engineer professional to join our team. Must be able to analyze system requirements, concept of operations documents, and acquisition plans to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures, conduct data collection and analysis, and report findings effectively. Required to support the development and maintenance of government test and evaluation documentation, such as Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, and related reports, while facilitating integration with other test organizations. Should provide specialized test and evaluation capabilities tailored to the specific functions, maturity level, and performance areas of the system, as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Requirements

  • Must be capable of assisting with Level 1 testing tasks, leveraging previous technical training and testing experience, and conducting research to apply government test and evaluation (T&E) concepts and related engineering activities.

  • Required to plan and execute performance analysis and data collection, focusing on performance risk areas to enhance T&E planning, and ensure alignment with acquisition strategies and decision-maker needs.

  • Should have expertise in utilizing and adapting modeling, simulation, and statistical analysis tools for T&E use, developing and selecting appropriate analysis tools.

  • Expected to coordinate T&E activities by participating in working-level integrated product teams, reviewing systems engineering information, and planning scenario-based evaluations to assess system and operational effectiveness.

  • Responsible for producing comprehensive T&E documentation, including evaluation plans, analysis plans, risk assessments, and reports, and ensuring readiness of test events through thorough preparation and coordination.

  • Must design data sampling schemes and select, calibrate, and manage instrumentation and data collection tools to optimize the balance of information and resources while controlling testing uncertainties.

  • Should maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards and work directly with government sponsors to coordinate and implement task objectives, providing technical direction and seeking approval for plans and reports.

  • Five (5) years experience as a TE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.

  • Two (2) years experience working with protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSL, FTP, SMTP, and POP3.

  • Two (2) years experience working with network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required OR Nine (9) years of TE experience

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
