Leidos Senior Systems Engineer in Columbia, Maryland

Description

Are you seeking a new and challenging position supporting a complex Program for the Warfighter, which implements the latest technology? Well, look no further! This is an exciting time to contribute to a mission-critical program with lasting impactful results. Leidos is currently looking to add a Systems Engineer (SE-2) to a growing Agile development task. The SE will work closely with an agile team of software developers, Subject Matter Experts, and TechSIGINT analysts to perform requirements derivation and refinement. The SE will lead or aid in backlog grooming, clearing roadblocks, and reporting progress to ensure features are added or improved during the sprint. The SE will develop and deliver presentations and demonstrations to the customer. The candidate must be a proactive, self-starter with leadership and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities .

  • Work closely with developers and end users to document requirements, determine gaps, drive development, etc.

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Derive functional, system, and performance requirements

  • Develop various systems engineering artifacts (CONOPs, data flows, architecture diagrams, etc.)

  • Develop schedules for features; Perform backlog grooming

  • Write or review documentation

  • Create various status reports

  • Serve as POC for project status

Basic Qualifications

Seven (14) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Experience on a team that implements agile scrum methodology.

  • Knowledge of customer’s engineering processes, frameworks, and/or procedures

  • Experience working with systems (e.g., collection, data retrieval, storage), data flows, or data types

  • Experience with Agile SDLC, Jira, Confluence

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Preferred Qualification

  • Certified Scrum Master Certification

  • MS Project experience

  • Knowledge and experience with systems and utilized within the TechSIGINT domain

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
