Job Description:

This position is for a System Engineer to support mission critical application and web service development in support of an Identity and Access Management (IdAM)solution. Provide expertise in architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, process improvement, network design and implementation and testing for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and/or Security Token Services (STS) implementation. Provide system engineering and integration support for interfacing systems. Analyze system requirements, concept of operations, and high-level system architecture to develop requirement specifications. Develop detailed system architecture and system design documentation. Develop system configuration documentation. Responsibilities may also include configuration and management of a Certification Authority and/or management of operational support staff.

Required Skills:

  • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) encryption and authentication

  • Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) concepts

  • LDAP protocol, directories, and replication (RedHat DS)

  • Digital Policy Management (DPM) and XACML.

  • Requirements analysis and decomposition

  • Ticketing systems (JIRA, Redmine, or similaSIGINT or IA domains)

  • Decomposing complex, interconnected software processes to identify and document dependencies.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts.

  • Ability to write/review technical documentation including user guides, wiki sites.

  • Ability to work independently – must be a self-starter

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines

  • 10 years System Engineering experience. An additional 4+ years of System Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 14 years.
