Job Description:

Parsons has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software/Web Developer (hybrid opportunity)! We're hiring a talented application developer to spearhead a newly created development team supporting USCYBERCOM in the Columbia, MD and Fort Meade area. A full stack developer (or someone who is well versed in front or backend development and willing to learn the other side) who is ready to design and create applications and architectures in a small, agile team would be the ideal candidate. This position will have complete, end-to-end ownership of a variety of projects in support of establishing a new mission-specific Security Operations Center within USCYBERCOM. The ideal candidate has experience and interest in building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define requirements and design applications to support both business processes and data analytic efforts.

  • Developing software and automated tests using Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.

  • Participating in technical discussions to assist in planning future development efforts.

  • Design, build and maintain new web applications for the organization.

  • Design, build and maintain data dashboards.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • ACTIVE TS/SCI with polygraph

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline

  • 10+ years Software Engineering/Development experience including a deep knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C/C++, and/or Python

  • Working experience in Windows and Linux environments

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Development experience with HTML5, CSS3 web standards, and Javascript

  • Experience working DoD/security development projects

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure applications align with organizational goals as well as customer needs

  • Improve overall application development process and continuously find ways to opportunities to modernize

  • Experience working within a Security Operations Center

Salary Range:

$126,600.00 - $227,900.00
