Sealing Technologies Inc Quality Assurance Manager (QA Manager) in COLUMBIA, Maryland

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and compliance of Sealing Technologies products/services while complying with ISO 9001 standards. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our quality management system, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive excellence across all processes. The Quality Assurance Manager supports the quality standards within the design, development, procurement, inventory management, assembly, testing, integration, kitting, and shipping of SealingTech products assuring overall quality.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

  • ISO 9001 Compliance: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 standards throughout the organization.
  • Quality Management System (QMS): Continue to develop, document, and improve the existing QMS to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 requirements and company objectives.
  • Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate external audits as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to foster a culture of quality excellence.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Lead investigations into quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with procurement and receiving ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality-related risks across all stages of the product/service lifecycle.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including reports, metrics, and compliance documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating quality improvement initiatives and fostering a proactive approach to quality management.
  • Collaborate with product development and product operations team members to understand and document system requirements and testing/quality assurance needs across all products.
  • Assists in creating processes for automated hardware detection, firmware upgrading, configuration and testing along with stress testing of each product.
  • Assists in creating processes for the testing of networking hardware and other peripherals.
  • Oversees the testing of servers, devices and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Assists in the creation and revision of build guides, technician guides and end user guides for products.
  • Assists with prepping final inspection documentation and certificate of conformances for SealingTech products for shipping to customers.
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance across all products sold.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in quality assurance and quality management systems, with a focus on ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 standards in a manufacturing or service environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions to barriers and service gaps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration throughout all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented min set with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Experience driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work under compressed deadlines and multitask across various projects.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualification:

  • Familiarity with Technology Products (Servers, Networking Devices, Etc.)
  • Certification as a Quality Auditor (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor), or other relevant certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in assembly or light manufacturing with an understanding of government contracting-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience with Quality Management Software.

This position is located at the Enterprise Modernization Center in Stevensville, MD. This job will primarily operate in a professional office environment. Position may also be required to work in a clean room or warehouse environment. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers and printers.

*This role has an internal job title of Quality Assurance Manager II.Salary Range: $90K-$100Kand potential to qualify for bonuses.The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.*
