Sealing Technologies Senior Operational Support Engineer in Columbia, Maryland

Location: Columbia, MD

Type: Onsite

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for a senior level systems engineer who likes to work each day with the end customer and ensure mission success. You'll be responsible for managing a team of three engineers performing sustainment and developing solutions to complex problems supporting a real-world mission with global impact. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background across a wide range of technology in hands on roles and experience managing teams. Experience in government contracting (preferably with the DOD) is desired. This is an amazing opportunity to engineer solutions for unique challenges, and you get to do it (mostly) in an unclassified space (yes you can have your phone).

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 years of hands-on experience in 3 or more of the following areas things:

  • Software development

  • Networking

  • Virtualization

  • Computer Forensics

  • Offensive/Defensive Cyber Operations

  • Systems Engineering

  • Penetration Testing

  • Administrator level knowledge of Linux (Red Hat is preferred) using the command line.

  • Proven experience managing team.

  • Proven experience developing technical solutions to complex problems.

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment (if you need to start the day knowing how your day will end, this is not the position for you).

  • Ability to research new technical concepts and quickly generate ideas on how its use could improve mission.

  • Organized and able to manage competing priorities. Attention to detail is a must.

  • The ability to work directly with a highly technical customer and provide great customer service.

  • The ability to successfully work with people with a variety of skill levels and backgrounds.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to travel within the United States < 15% of the time.

  • Must be willing to work on site five days a week.

  • The ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.

  • An active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.

  • Current CI Polygraph or ability and willingness to pass one.

  • US Citizen

  • Bachelors degree in a technology related field.

    This role has an internal job title of Systems Engineer III or Systems Engineer IV . The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
