We are seeking a Network Security Engineer Principal that will be expected to team with peers, internal customers, and management to strengthen the consistency and standardization of IT Network Security Services to achieve operational excellence and program success. While this position is an individual contributor role, collaboration and solid technical knowledge and skills will be essential attributes.

The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers missions. Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development of network security posture requirements.

  • Create, analyze and troubleshoot network boundary rulesets.

  • Use packet analysis tools (i.e. Wireshark) to aid with the development and analysis of boundary rulesets.

  • Professionally communicate development progress, alternate designs that improve resiliency, and report testing results to the customer.

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment:

This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Travel to CONUS and OCONUS government and non-government locations may be required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Related Bachelor s and 12 or more years of related experience; or HS Diploma and 18 or more years of related experience.

  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate s, Bachelor s Degree, Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of experience.

  • Related certifications may count towards years of related experience.

  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.

  • Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  • Current TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph required.

  • Certification - IAT L3 required.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 12 years of experience working with Enterprise Security Boundary/Firewall devices is preferred.

  • Experience working with mission customers defining security posture requirements is desired.

  • Experience working with Cisco routers and switches is desired.

  • A self-starter approach, striving for excellence in work and innovation in methods to keep customer s missions operational.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148000 - $204500

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
