The Benefits Specialist II assists the Benefits Team in the day-to-day administration of the Company’s various employee benefits programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answers general inquiries and provides a high level of customer service to employees regarding benefits and LOA procedures, policies, eligibility rules and regulations

  • Assists with complex benefit functions tied to the Form 1095C and the benefit eligibility process

  • May be the point of contact for benefits projects

  • Keeps abreast of the Company’s benefits, including policies, eligibility rules, and general regulations

  • Assists with the administration of all health and welfare benefit programs, Leave of Absence administration, and other various benefit programs

  • Proactively identifies and implements workable solutions to issues

  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience in related departments

  • At least four (4) years of benefits administration experience preferred

  • Proven knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably ADP

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, required

  • Working knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to Human Resources/Benefits

  • Ability to keep sensitive employee information confidential

  • Ability to work as an effective team member, including establishing and maintaining positive, professional business relationships with other departments and branch offices

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently within a fast-paced environment

  • Possess a high level of initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

  • ADP Enterprise experience a plus

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
