Description of Duties:

The Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

· Provide systems engineering expertise to establish and improve the integration of enterprise systems engineering processes, including facility and infrastructure engineering, configuration management, and enterprise architecture processes.

· Lead the integration of Systems Engineering Principles and Requirements into Project Management and delivery processes across the enterprise.

· Assist others with documenting, decomposing, and deriving requirements and creating acceptance criteria and verification methodology.

· Assist others with capturing configuration (as-built) data in alignment with standards.

· Manage, and improve enterprise-wide Engineering Review and Configuration Control Board processes.

· Communicate complex technical information to people of various backgrounds and disciplines.

· Help establish and maintain a Command and Control, and Research, Development, and Test (RDT) facility's Technical Baseline.

· Provide status and briefings to leadership.

· Mentor and train junior members of the team.

· Use interpersonal skills to solve both technical and organizational conflicts.

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

This position is expected to pay $86,500 - $111,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 8 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 2 years of general experience

· Must have at least 5 years engineering experience

· Must have 2 years of experience working in a management or leadership role

· Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

· Have an Engineering Bachelor's of Science degree from an accredited college

· Have at least 2 years of experience with application of Engineering lifecycles such as the INCOSE Vee

· Have experience with Jira

· Have experience with Digital Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

· Have 1 year (cumulative) of direct experience in one, or more, of the following technical disciplines: Network, Systems Administration/Integration, Virtualization, Database, Audio/Video/Control Systems, Software Development, Facilities Engineering, and/or Configuration/Change Management

· Have a Relevant Professional Certification

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

· Have Agile Project Management experience and/or certification
