CACI, Inc. is accepting applications for a system engineer to support the sustainment, reliability, maintainability, and availability for the Satellite Control Network (SCN) communication systems that link satellite operations centers with worldwide remote satellite tracking stations. You will also get to work with commercial satellite manufacturers to test satellite communications compatibility with the SCN.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Under general supervision, perform a variety of specific engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature.

  • Help to develop and maintain an active Obsolescence program, supporting SCN sustainment.

  • Perform obsolescence analysis activities on system configuration items (CI) in support of overall SCN system sustainment.

  • Support Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) program with data collection and analysis, including:

  • collecting and charting downtime data

  • supporting failure analysis activities

  • supporting reliability-centered maintenance analyses

  • development and reporting of data-based metrics to optimize equipment up-time.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must be able to attain DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, math or equivalent.

  • 0 - 3 years of related experience with:

  • Requirements management and functional analysis

  • Using analysis tools (MS Excel entry and graphing, RMA modelling, etc.)

  • Working with engineering/project teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • Solid decision making and critical thinking skills

  • Self-motivated and have attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, with a desire to learn new skills

  • Effective professional interpersonal skills

  • Experience with the following is a plus:

  • RMA studies

  • Obsolescence studies

  • Knowledge of DoD/Air Force or Space Force Systems Engineering concepts and processes

  • Knowledge of DoD/Air Force databases, such as Integrated maintenance Data System (IMDS), Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S), etc.

  • Programming experience in Python and/or Matlab
