We are supporting a fast-paced, dynamic environment to analyze and develop the next generation of Astrodynamic Standards software capabilities used by the United States Space Force (USSF), the United States Air Force (USAF), and the Department of Defense (DoD). Our team is looking for an experienced software engineer with a strong analytical focus, attention to detail, and excellent development language skills. The physical location for this work will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with the majority of time spent at Peterson Space Force Base.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science or technical discipline with minimum of 5 years of industry experience. Relevant experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be accepted in place of a degree
Experience developing and maintaining software features for customers in at least one of the following languages: Java, Fortran, C, C++ Experience in software development lifecycles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical writing skills
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
Experience with using version control software and process (Git)
Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment (Scrum/Kanban)
Experience developing unit tests for programs written in at least one of the following languages: Java, C, C++ Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills
Working understanding of orbital mechanics
Experience with mathematical software development
Experience with Fortran, C, and C++ Familiarity with WebAssembly
Familiarity with Jest
Experience working with web service data formats (JSON, JSON-P, XML)
Experience using Jenkins

Salary Range:
$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
