The position will support dynamic, agile projects implementing a DevSecOps approach across all phases of the software development lifecycle, to include design, development, test, and operational support / user feedback. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as within a team setting on the design, implementation, and maintenance/troubleshooting of new and existing software solutions, primarily within the satellite command and control (C2) dom This candidate must be self-motivated, be a self-learner, and able to work well within a dynamic schedule. Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, as well as communicate with vendor support. Candidate must be able to leverage modern industry standard technologies in the engineered solutions and quickly and efficiently generate estimates and status of design efforts, including materials (such as presentation slides), for use internally as well as externally with customers. BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or engineering equivalent 5-8 years of job-related experience Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years (ideally 8 years) technical experience and possess a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or engineering equivalent. MS in above fields is a plus. The successful candidate must have advance industry software development experience in order to be proficient in the following: Java and C/C++ programming (including network, multi-threaded, client-server programming where applicable) on Windows and Linux platforms Batch File, Windows Script File, Unix Shell Scripting, Python Scripting Basic understanding of relational database applications and creation of expressions using Structured Query Language (SQL) Ability to design solutions to complex engineering problems Applicant selected must be eligible to obtain a government issued security clearance at the SECRET level.
