Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a motivated individual to join us in Business Management as a Program Cost Control Senior Principal (Level 4) Analyst. This position is located onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides guidance on policies and procedures

  • Sets up the cost control system and monitors and controls costs on contracts

  • Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines

  • Prepares budgets for contract work and performs or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis

  • Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government

  • Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines

  • Interfaces with program and functional management to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements

  • Participates in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peers to help develop the team

  • Assists in preparing as well as executing internal and external audits

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or program control - OR - Master's degree with 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or program control

  • An additional 4+ years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

  • Experience with COBRA, SAP/S4, PM Compass or Cognos

  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, v-lookups, advanced formulas, etc.

  • US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Level 1 EVMS contracts and customer reporting

  • Experience in DoD setting with understanding of government Cost Accounting - Standards, FAR, & DFARs

  • Prior program cost control experience

  • Prior financial analysis and/or reporting experience

  • Experience with IPMDAR Deliverables, CSDR Flexfile Cost and Hour Reporting, and proven experience in detailing complex Earned Value scenarios with internal stakeholders and external customers

  • Experience working with program start-ups

  • Experience working with international programs or international customers

  • Current, active DoD Top Secret security clearance

Salary Range: $99,900 - $149,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
