KBR Operations Manager/Event Coordinator in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Title:

Operations Manager/Event Coordinator

As one of the prime contractors for Space CAMP (Commercially Augmented Mission Platform) we pride ourselves on our exceptionally talented team. We are now looking to grow that team with the addition of an Event Operations Manager/Event Coordinator. As an Operations Manager/Event Coordinator for KBR, you will directly support our Space CAMP customer. This is a fast paced and rewarding job that will challenge you daily and expose you to fantastic growth opportunities. Our Operations Manager/Event Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of Space CAMP events from planning through execution and follow up. You will act as the face of Space CAMP in daily interactions with government leaders. You will also provide daily administrative and organizational support to Space CAMP leadership and team members ranging from scheduling to meeting facilitation and much more. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

· Assist in the implementation of and Customer and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, in line with the Space CAMP Communications Strategy

· Oversee coordination of all external communication supported events; including event prep, logistics and on-site support if necessary.

· Assist and develop schedules, timelines and deliverables for events

· Identify other potential events and marketing opportunities that are aligned to business strategy such as advertising campaigns with journals, trade publications

· Support post event evaluation and metrics

· Monitors budget spend associated with events and merchandise

· Proof and edit copy as needed

· Support coordination and delivery of internal events where necessary

· Find opportunities to develop content from events for internal audiences that align with the strategy such as internal stories, interviews and videos

· Help maintain calendar of comms and marketing activities

· Support the production of material including brochures (traditional/online), videos, animations and more, and maintain inventory/library of material

Essential Experience & Skills:

· Experience working with DoD customers

· Understanding of basic Agile principles

· Experience in a communications role

· Creative thinker

· Outgoing and engaging

· Content creation, direction and editing

· Great attention to detail

· Strong grammar and spelling

· Enjoys working in a small team, but is independent enough to manage projects on their own

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to deal with multiple deadlines / organized multitasker

· Experience in delivering content across platforms, including new and emerging digital platforms

· Ability to work with people at all levels

· Event support experience

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree ( or equivalent directly relevant experience)

· 1-3 years working with DoD

Basic Compensation

$65,000 -$85,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
