JOB DESCRITPTION: MECHANIC / YARD MAN

HOURLY RATE DOE TARGET HOURS 40-50 HOURS

GENERAL DESCIPTION: Mechanic duties on fleet vehicles and equipment along with general yard man duties.

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an organized, dependable and proficient mechanic / yard man to join our team. Candidate should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of technical tools. As a qualified mechanic you must provide incredible customer service skills as well as the ability to quickly and effectively diagnose and resolve mechanical problems. As well as the ability to multi task, also ability for pickups and or material deliveries.

MECHANIC / YARD MAN JOB DUTIES: Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and or equipment, stucco pump, forklift and or general tools Inspect vehicles, equipment, pump, forklift and or tools for faulty parts Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues Explain nature of repairs required and create a plan of action for all repairs Follow checklists and protocols while conducting repairs Regularly clean and maintain tools and equipment Ensure a safe, organized and tidy workspace Input, track and maintain all maintenance data and records Keep machinery in good working condition Track inventory and order new parts when required Follow all health & safety laws and guidelines as well as common sense safety practices Loading and unloading equipment and supplies from vendors and company vehicles Accurately receive material orders from vendors Ability to do material pickups from various suppliers Exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, gas and fumes, dress for conditions Other duties assigned as needed, ability to multi task Ability to haul trailers to jobs for material deliveries Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends if occasionally required

MECHANIC / YARD MAN REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Proven mechanical acuity and basic math skills Familiarity with common mechanic's tools, service and diagnostics Ability to work in uncomfortable, physically demanding positions, stand on one's feet for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds at a time with the ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally Attention to detail, customer service, clear communication, efficient worker Computer literate a plus Spanish speaking a plus
