Maxar is seeking a Software Engineer to join our project team developing application software.

LOCATION: Colorado Springs - On Site

Required Qualifications:

Must be U.S. Citizen and eligible for SECRET security clearance

BS in Computer Science or related discipline. 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

C++ programming experience.

Experience with Object Oriented software development theory and associated methodologies

Good understanding of coding methods and best practices

Responsibilities:

Participate in the requirements analysis and design for software applications or sub-components.

Code or maintain software applications or sub-components from specifications.

Follow established software development process.

Create appropriate process artifacts including: requirements documentation, design documentation, and test plans.

Test applications as identified in the development methodology, and create necessary documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

2+ years of professional experience

Excellent Math and Physics skills

Ability to take direction from senior team members

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Effective oral and written communication skills to include active listening

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$65,000.00 - $107,000.00 annually.
