To learn more, please visit www.ierustech.com/benefits Description: This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Global Software Engineer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 9 years’ experience and be responsible for, but not limited to: responsibility for software development using Java; providing in-depth analysis and technical support of a large, distributed system written in Java; performing complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user support for a large code baseline; following specifications to develop or modify functionality within the code; assisting with design, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation; interfacing with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve efficiency; and designing, coding, testing, and implementing tools for automation. Required Qualifications: • B.S. or M.S. in a related engineering discipline; Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering. • Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification. • Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. • Java experience. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Ability to be cleared at TS/SCI. A secret is required to start. • Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment. • Knowledge of software practices and coding standards. • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend and develop a solution. Desired Qualifications: • Experience working as part of an Agile team. • Familiarity with Java Spring. • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes. • Knowledge of server-side development and message passing. • Experience developing enterprise applications. • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking. • Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle and Eclipse. • Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams. • Previous experience with message translation software. • Automated test and pipeline development experience. • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. • Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts. • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation. • Prior experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers; experience setting up a container environment. Location: Colorado Springs, CO The proposed salary range for this position is $77.9k - $128.7k. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations.
