SAIC Cybersecurity Engineer in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado

Description

SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Cyber Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Job Duties:

  • Passive evaluations such as compliance audits using STIG Viewer, SCAP, etc. and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments utilizing tools such as ACAS.

  • Build security architectures; integrate new architectural features into existinginfrastructures; design cybersecurity architectural artifacts; provide architectural analysis of cybersecurity features and relate existing system to future needs and trends; provide engineering recommendations and resolve integration and testing issues.

  • Perform assessments of RMF artifacts and identify where those artifacts deviate from RMF control requirements.

  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.

  • Perform analyses to validate established cybersecurity controls and requirements and recommend appropriate cybersecurity safeguards.

  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining assessment and authorization of systems

  • Security engineering supporting DoD/Federal cybersecurity policy (i.e., DoDI 8500.01, NIST SP 800-53, etc.).

  • STIG/SCAP compliance scanning and implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and five plus (5+) years’ related experience, will consider 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • US Citizenship.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.

  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Experience (Nessus / Tenable Security Center).

  • Experience with LogRhythm, Cyber Architect and Design experience.

Desired:

  • Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.

  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
