Summit Technical Solutions (STS) (http://sts-llc.com/) is seeking an experienced VTC Administrator- Mid is a CISCO SME. This position provides Audio/Video Videoconferencing support services for the CIMS III program. This position also provides conference room support for conference and training rooms, assists scheduling, troubleshooting all issues, operates Tandberg/Polycom and other VTC equipment, trains users and facilitators, assists in installation, integration, configuration, and testing of VTC systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The VTC Administrator Senior performs a variety of electronic and technical assignments on VTC equipment and systems.

  • Completes terminal troubleshooting using appropriate diagnostic equipment.

  • I nstalls terminals, controllers, and test equipment and restores nonworking lines and/or equipment to working condition.

  • Requires knowledge of specific VTC equipment, test equipment, and terminal configuration.

  • Requires extensive knowledge in specialized functions.

  • A wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects and the technical phases of VTC operations and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

  • Support the design/development of new or modified equipment or methods/systems for improved performance.

  • Lead and mentor others and lower level employees, may assign work and schedule.

    Essential Job Functions

    · Assists in the implementation and administration of all security policies and procedures.

    · Assists in evaluating, designing, documenting, installing, implementing, testing, maintaining, operating, removing, and upgrading, and modifying VTC systems.

    · Proficient in troubleshooting maintaining and reinstalling/configuring VTC equipment, to include audio, projections, dial-up assistance, switchable interfaces, mixers, controlling devices, cameras, portable VTC systems, microphones, audio/video interfaces and control consoles.

    · Proficient in configuring, testing, scheduling, monitoring and operating audio/video bridges.

    · Provide hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all related systems, equipment failures or service issues.

    · Resolve system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation.

    · Perform routine performance testing to ensure VTC and other conference room equipment, portable systems, AV interfaces, controls counsels and multimedia equipment operate at optimal performance and capacity.

    · Provide support for Multimedia requirements.

    · Provide operations, engineering and technical support.

    · Provide VTC Maintenance Support.

    · Provide advice and hands-on on training to end-users.

    · Experience with switch/router/control panel configuration and support.

    · Provide End User support, to include in-room and external network support with graphical user interface access and operability; troubleshooting, scheduling and administering video teleconferences.

    · Coordinate with customers for all required actions to set up, operate and take down all audio and visual conferences, including classified and unclassified systems.

    · Experience providing support of Cisco video conferencing systems and software including all ports, protocols, routing and interconnection requirements.

    · Experience using VTC Codecs, Audio Mixers, Control Systems, AV Automation, Wiring, Amplifiers, Microphones, Projection Systems, Video Cameras and other AV peripheral equipment.

    · Other duties as assigned.
