Overview:

This position is eligible for a 15% PRN differential on top of the base rate of pay!

As a Certified Childbirth Education Instructor III, you will:

  • Provide childbirth and parent education in instructors area of expertise ie. breastfeeding, labor and delivery processes, expectant father education, sibling etc.

  • Perform initial and on going assessment of each class participant’s learning needs, knowledge and skills.

  • Customize class outline, content and audiovisuals based on needs assessment of class participants.

  • Receive consistently satisfactory class evaluations.

  • Use class evaluations and verbal feedback from participants to improve teaching skills and class content.

  • Utilize interactive teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Childbirth Education Instructor License/Certification from Lamaze or ICEA (International Childbirth Education Association)

  • Previous experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles

  • Good public speaking skills

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
