Puyenpa Services, LLC AV Installation/Engineering Technician in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Puyenpa family of companies are comprised of multiple SBA Certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified organizations focused on delivering Information Technology, Management Consulting, and General Construction solutions to the Federal Government along with the Commercial Sector. We are actively seeking an AV Installation/Engineering Technician based in Colorado Springs, CO. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting our USSC NIWC contract. The main responsibilities of the role include: AV Installation Technician performs installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors, displays, video walls, and installing AV equipment in racks. The Technician will troubleshoot and utilize problem-solving skills to aid in the execution of work on the jobsite, minimize the need to make return trips, and perform testing on such systems after installation to assure customer acceptance. Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors, displays, video walls, and installing AV equipment in racks. Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints. Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks. Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring. Projector and screen support structure installations. Mounting LCD/LED displays and video walls. Test point to point functionality of systems. Field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron) - basic upload and download capability. Mentor Junior Technicians. Provide site supervisor of install team with direction from the Project Manager. Perform client training as needed. Customer liaison in absence of Project Manager. Responsible for job documentation as needed. Demonstrate job site leadership. Travel to various job sites around Colorado Springs area. Candidates with experience installing systems on government sites will be rated more highly. Position requires a background check to include a DMV report, current and valid driver's license. Other duties assigned as needed.

Skills and Abilities: Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues. Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines. Basic computer working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control equipment. Ability to manage small to medium projects. Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston/Extron) - basic changes and troubleshooting.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum audio-visual installation experience required. Formal education in electronics or related field preferred. Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.

External Training: Avixa CTS and/or CTS-I certification, required. BICSI certification preferred. Vendor (Extron/AMX/Crestron/Biamp/Planar, etc.) certification preferred.

Clearance Requirement: Technicians will be required to obtain SCI Government Security Clearance, most currently have Top Secret Clerance.
