Job Description:

Parsons Corporation, a stalwart in mission-critical technology solutions since 1944, is seeking a dynamic mid-level Automation Engineer, Cloud. Join our team to pioneer automation and optimization solutions within the Crucible environment, leveraging our strategic partnerships with Microsoft Azure and Red Hat. Your role will be instrumental in enhancing our national security and global infrastructure projects, driving innovation, and streamlining operations through advanced cloud and AI technologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Implementing Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform within the AFLCMC Azure cloud-based DevSecOps environment, optimizing Crucible’s automation, and orchestration capabilities.

  • Developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for integrating and managing software tools such as GitLab, Jira, Terraform, Mattermost, Jenkins, and Backstage, ensuring efficient workflow automation.

  • Collaborating with cybersecurity teams to secure automation processes, aligning with IL5, IL6, and IL6+ security classifications and NIST compliance.

  • Utilizing Azure’s optimization tools, including Bicep, Monitor, and Advisor, to enhance infrastructure management and application performance monitoring.

  • Contributing to data aggregation and analytics, facilitating the generation of actionable insights for improved resource management and tool performance.

  • Engaging in configuration management to maintain consistent settings across Crucible’s segregated enclaves, upholding stringent security standards.

  • Supporting cloud operations through orchestration capabilities, simplifying the management of a diverse and evolving infrastructure.

  • Driving continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies for potential integration into our DevOps practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and 8+ years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields

  • 2+ years of experience in cloud automation engineering, preferably with hands-on experience with Azure Government Cloud and Red Hat Ansible

  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, especially Azure Bicep, and automation tools like Terraform

  • Proficiency in developing and managing Ansible playbooks and scripts for large-scale automation tasks

  • Ability to work within multi-classification environments, adhering to compliance and security standards such as NIST

  • Minimum Clearance: Secret (IL5, IL6) or the ability to obtain such clearance

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Advanced certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, Ansible, or similar technologies

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, integrating security into DevOps processes

  • Strong analytical skills, capable of synthesizing data from various sources to inform decision-making

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strong desire to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a knack for mentoring and knowledge sharing

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $210,600.00
