We have an excellent opportunity for a maintenance supervisor in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team of skilled tradesman and be familiar with sheet metal dies, fin stamping dies, fixtures, gauges, die preventive maintenance, conveyors, and electrical systems. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager, and will supervise about 14 hourly maintenance workers.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and maintain electrical, plumbing, ventilation, facilities and other building sytems

  • Collaboration with the maintenance manager and engineering managers to prioritize project and maintenance work

  • Champion the use of ACE tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, maximize output and achieve labor efficiency targets

  • Model and promote adherence to environmental, health and safety policies and initiatives to ensure safety is top priority when assigning work

  • Monitor work order progress and drives quality and timeliness of completion; maintains electronic work order system

  • Inspect assigned work for completeness and captures completion comments from skilled trades

  • Maintain timecards and overtime records of hourly associates

  • Develop standard work for various maintenance processes

  • Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement

Qualification:

  • 5+ years progressive experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Experience supervising union-represented employees

  • Experience with machine maintenance

  • Ability to make suggestions and informed decisions quickly

  • Technical background in engineering a plus

  • Strong organizational, leadership and time management skills

  • Highly motivated with possesses superior follow-up and follow-through skills

  • Able to motivate and lead employees

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Experience in AutoCAD or Solidworks a plus

  • Must be willing to work overtime to support the production schedule

  • Must be flexible to work first or second shift

Education:

  • Associates degree or equivalent required

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
