ManpowerGroup Tax payroll in Collegeville, Pennsylvania

Jefferson Wells is seeking Tax Accountants with a strong background in payroll tax, 1099 processing, and W2 processing. This is a remote project opportunity, paying W2 50- $85 hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Tax Management:

  • Calculate, prepare, and file payroll tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes.

  • Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Resolve any payroll tax-related issues and discrepancies.

1099 and W2 Processing:

  • Manage the preparation and distribution of 1099 forms for contractors and vendors.

  • Handle the accurate processing of W2 forms for employees.

  • Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and regulations.

Client Advisory:

  • Provide expert advice to clients on payroll tax matters, including tax planning and compliance.

  • Assist clients with tax-related inquiries and help them understand their tax obligations.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, tax filings, and client correspondence.

  • Organize and manage all relevant documentation for audit purposes.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Keep track of all relevant tax deadlines and ensure timely filings.

  • Prepare regular tax reports for clients and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant certification is a plus.

  • Proven experience in payroll tax management, 1099 and W2 processing.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
