As a Senior R&D Procurement Manager in Clinical Services, you will be accountable for a category of outsourced services needed for GSK's clinical trials: Negotiate contracts with suppliers that secure favorable terms for procurement of goods and services contracts in line with the agreed business requirements Ensure that business requirements are clearly defined and supplier performance management is in place to deliver value to GSK Lead strategic review with in-depth category knowledge
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Accountability for end-to-end management of the Companion Diagnostics category Business Partner to the R&D Precision Medicine team Establish contracting strategy for the Companion Diagnostics category with appropriate resource allocation Lead sourcing events and data-driven negotiations to deliver on the business requirements Lead relationship management with key suppliers in the Companion Diagnostics category Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the GSK culture and R&D priorities
Why you? Basic Qualifications We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of category management experience in Global Procurement or equivalent function Experience developing project plans and leading complex negotiations Pharmaceutical, healthcare, or consumer goods industry experience
Preferred Qualifications If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Advanced Degree in Business Management, Business Operations, Mathematics or Science Strong business and financial acumen Strong oral and written communication skills Proficient in leveraging AI to simplify daily ways of working and drive efficiency in business processes Ability to analyze and present data in a clear and concise manner Ability to balance priorities and work independently Ability to engage and influence senior leadership with limited direction
