The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is currently seeking a Regional Advisor to assist local entities with a variety of conservation and natural resource related projects. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the Regional Advisor, you will provide grant, outreach, and technical assistance services to assist communities, non-profit organizations, and government entities with projects related to recreation, conservation, and natural resources. You will serve as the regional point of contact and handle inquiries relevant to the department's programs, as well as facilitate projects, activities, and partnerships to help stakeholders assess the recreational, conservation, and natural resource needs within the region. Additionally, you will prepare talking points and represent DCNR at conferences, groundbreaking ceremonies, and other community outreach functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Collegeville. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Recreation and Conservation Advisor 1 (commonwealth title); or Two years of professional experience in parks, recreation, or natural resource conservation administration, planning, or development; and a bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, landscape architecture, environmental sciences, city, regional, urban, or environmental planning, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
