Description

The Department of Economics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking to fill one position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in the field of economics. This is a full-time, non-tenure accruing position and is a 9-month academic appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024.

This position is required to conduct instruction face-to-face and will have a standard 3-3 teaching load in addition to service expectations to enhance the teaching mission of the department. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to student outreach and mentorship.

    Qualifications

This position requires a Ph.D. in economics or a related field. All appointees are expected to be committed to teaching of the highest quality.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience serving as a primary instructor for undergraduate courses, particularly in the fields of macroeconomic theory, financial economics, introductory econometrics, economic forecasting, or any combination thereof.
