Description

The Department of Chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking applications for one full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track, Instructional Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate lecture and may assist with lab coordination in our first-year (general) chemistry programs. In addition to their teaching, the successful applicant will have a strong commitment to undergraduate chemistry education and student success. They may be engaged with mentoring and supervising teaching assistants, developing innovative, high-quality curricula and instructional initiatives, chemical education research, assessment, and/or public outreach. The anticipated start date will Fall 2024.

Qualifications

Earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry prior to the start date. We are seeking candidates with potential to demonstrate excellence in the classroom and in mentoring students outside the classroom. Preferred qualifications: experience in teaching in General Chemistry.
