Diaconia is a leader in technology solutions, digital transformation, etc, committed to delivering innovative products and services. We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to guide our development teams on projects utilizing Java, MongoDB, and Informatica. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies and a passion for driving team efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives).
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the blocker.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven 5+ years' experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment, specifically with projects involving Java, MongoDB, and Informatica.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
