Home Care Assistance of Barrie, Ontario Registered Nurse/Practical Nurse (RN/RPN) in Coldwater, Ontario

We are seeking an RN/RPN for a community client in Orillia. The shifts are typically overnights, 9:30pm-8:30am. But, occasional day or evening shifts may also be available. We are looking for part-time to full-time staff that has a flexible schedule.

Job Benefits:

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conducting assessments and reassessments

  • Developing, monitoring, and updating plans of care, as assigned

  • Providing medication support and administration

  • Responding to all emergency situations

  • Completing reports and communicating with the family about any changes in care

  • Meeting the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times

  • All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario 

  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate 

  • Vulnerable sector screen and satisfactory professional references

  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions

  • G-tube experience, med resistive and reactive, comfortable with managing seizures

  • Must have a valid license and reliable vehicle

  • Willingness to adjust to a scent-free lifestyle due to scents triggering seizure activity

  • Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines, while observing policies and procedures as well as applicable work standards and safety regulations
