The Christ Hospital Health Network Practice Manager in COLD SPRING, Kentucky

Title: Practice Manager

Shift: Full Time, Days

This position will be scheduled in an internal medicine and pediatrics practice at our Cold Spring office, located at 3955 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.

Job Overview: The Practice Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a physician office and will act as a liaison between administration, office personnel and physicians. This position will supervise clinical and administrative personnel and assign and monitor tasks and responsibilities. The successful manager will also monitor financial indicators and performance of office in keeping with the mission of The Christ Hospital Health Network.

The Practice Manager may perform the following duties:

  • Prepare, monitor and evaluate annual operating budget.

  • Communicates goals and objectives, financial performance, and other defined performance objectives with physicians and associates.

  • Manage office based components of the Revenue Cycle while working collaboratively with the Central Billing Office to manage billing and collection activities.

  • Demonstrate general understanding of insurance reimbursement policies, and proficient knowledge of coding policies.

  • Work collaboratively with the Credentialing Coordinator to maintain current and new physician and mid-level provider requirements.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in front and back office processes.

  • Manage conflicts in the office – timely addressing and documentation of performance and behavior concerns.

  • Effective hiring, orientation and training of personnel to include the management and mentorship of staff, implement ongoing employee engagement activities, manage turnover.

  • Conduct ongoing performance management activities, including training, coaching and development. Conduct meaningful annual and initial work period performance evaluations.

  • Promote the growth of the practice through strategic thinking and execution while monitoring and evaluating all areas of compliance to ensure standards are met.

  • Support the practice in participation of organizational, regional and governmental quality programs.

  • Promote The Christ Hospital standard of patient experience. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Three to Five years prior medical office management experience preferred. Other Skills:

  • Knowledge of Insurance billing and of Electronic Medical Records

  • Proficiency in front and back office system processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
