Position Description

Preparation of hot/cold food products as directed by chef and cook staff.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare hot & cold food as directed by chef(s)

  • Making sandwiches and salads as directed by chef(s)

  • Follow proper sanitation procedures.

  • Provides support to the chef(s)which involves:
  • Providing project information as needed.
Position Requirements

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Culinary education a plus.EXPERIENCE: Cooking experience in restaurant, catering and/or hotel preferred.OTHER: Sanitation Certificate required; ability to speak and understand the Spanish language
is a plus. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Basic food prep skills including proper use of knives and other cooking equipment
  • Hot food usage, preparation, cooking and storage
  • Proper sanitation procedures
  • Organization skills
  • Diplomacy and tact
  • Telephone etiquette

The hourly rate for this role is $17.72-24.80 The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
