Sr. Program Manager

Hazelett Corporation seeks a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Sr. Program Manager. Our Hazelett Strip Casting Machines combine the functions of mechanical, electrical, heat transfer and automation to produce materials for many applications. Our preferred candidate should be energetic, innovative, organized and have excellent communication skills. They should possess a strong desire to manage engineering projects and to improve the Hazelett technology.

The materials produced by our machines are used in many applications such as aluminum automotive body components, aluminum foil, lead-acid automotive batteries, and copper wire and cables.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales & Marketing and Engineering teams to document requirements, develop cost and schedule in response to Request for Quotes
  • For both contractual and internal development projects develop project plans that include:\ \
    1. Documented requirements
    2. Program Master Schedule
    3. Budget
    4. Resource plan
    5. Risk assessment
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure projects are executed to the project plan
  • Work with the manufacturing team to plan build schedule
  • Coordinate with process team to plan installation and commissioning
  • Manage the projects with a focus on reducing distractions of the design team to allow them to concentrate on developing creative solutions to meet customer needs
  • Lead team meetings and design reviews
  • Report progress to stakeholders on an as defined basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Program Management or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of Project Engineering/Program Management experience.
  • Ability to plan and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of engineering technical issues.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience with cross-functional teams.
