Job Information

Vontier Test Engineer II – Mechanical reliability testing in Coimbatore, India

• Key Responsibilities:

o Hardware Reliability Testing & analyzing at the system level, sub-system level & component level

o Simulation of the field issues at the Hardware Reliability lab

o Documentation such as test plans, test reports, creating SOPs for new tests & process, etc based on standards.

o Coordinating with the CFT team such as the Structure team team, the Hydraulic design team, the SQA team, etc.

o Coordinating with 3rd party vendors & external labs for testing as well as lab development activities

o Team handling

o Test rig & test setup preparation

o Team engagement activities

o Enhancing Reliability lab setup by implementing Innovative ideas

o Develop and refine best practice procedures for reliability testing and provide guidance to global test sites and external labs as needed to assure best practices are being followed.

o Implementing new test cases based on the product reliability requirements

o Implement international test standards (e.g. IEC, EN, OIML, UL, ATEX) & internal test standards in the test cases

• Education & Experience : The ideal candidate will have

Total Experience in years: 3-6 years in Mechanical Reliability testing

Graduation/ Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics or similar technical field.

• Background and Skills: The ideal candidate will have

 Strong knowledge of Mechanical & Hydraulics test methods

 Strong understanding of test standards (ATEX, OIML, IEC, EN, etc.)

 Defect tracking & analysis skills

 Strong understanding of accelerated lifetime testing and reliability testing techniques

 Documentation & Report preparation skills

 Ability to work in teams and good communication skills, both written & verbal

 Team handling skills

 Good computer skills

 Skills to use equipment such as test chambers (Vibration, environmental, rain, dust), gauges (pressure, vacuum, etc..), instruments like multimeters, watt meter, Oscilloscope, etc., Test simulators,
