Position Goals

  • Provide support to the various departments and increase job completion efficiency.

Summary

Entry level position that performs a variety of duties in the operation, primarily in the areas of facility housekeeping and overall facility appearance. Laborer will be responsible for industrial cleaning, recycling, water blasting, tank cleaning, confined space entry, sludge removal, and equipment cleaning.. Laborers work with the various departments to accomplish a wide range of tasks. Laborers are expected to work toward certifications and specializations with the intention to advance within TCR.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general clean-up of the plant including sweeping, cleaning, painting and other general housekeeping duties
  • Participates fully in the Taylor Crane & Rigging Safety Program
  • Operates safely all equipment and vehicles
  • Works as general labor in any or all parts of the facility
  • Maintains and supplies equipment for jobsites and other facilities
  • Assembles and disassembles incoming equipment/machinery for scrap
  • General repair of building and TCR property
  • Supplies laborer for TCR projects and Field
  • Loads and unloads trucks assigned to jobsites
  • Works with other departments to provide general labor skills
  • Other duties as assigned by department manager or senior management

Requirements

  • Able to work a highly physical job that requires heavy lifting, and frequent climbing and bending
  • Able to work from significant heights, all weather conditions and in dusty areas.
  • Able to work 10 hour standing shifts and weekends
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
  • Safety awareness
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Forklift experience
  • Valid Drivers license with no suspensions, preferred
  • Must pass drug test, fit-for duty test and background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Most positions require one or more of the following safety equipment: gloves, safety glasses, steel toe boots, hard hat or safety vest.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions vary day by day and requires both indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Must have physical ability required to perform work in an awkward position or in cramped conditions, including confined spaces.
  • Requires standing, crouching, kneeling, and stooping for extended periods of time.
  • Performs repetitive motions including, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must have the ability to work in very noisy conditions and around equipment where odorous fumes, oil, grease and chemicals exist.
  • Requires physical strength. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and lift/lower objects overhead safely.
