House Usher & Monitor

Job Summary

Coeur dAlene Summer Theatre is seeking individuals with excellent communication

skills, who are physically able to stand for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs

when needed, assist audience members and monitor access to facilities. Successful

candidates will assist the House Manager with the daily Front of House Operations with

the goal of assuring a positive, comfortable, and safe theater experience for all guests

from their arrival until departure.

Responsibilities:

? Provide excellent customer service

? Monitor access to facilities

? Assist audiences in the use of a variety of accessible services provided

? Assist wheelchair & walking assistance users

? Guide audience members to their reserved ticketed seats

? Scan tickets

? Assist audience members to exits in the event of an emergency evacuation

? Assist in overseeing & guiding front of house volunteers

? Assist in setting up & tearing down front of house setup throughout the season

Qualifications:

? Minimum age 21

? Available for a minimum of 90% of the seasonal schedule (below)

? Available to become Fire Safety Certified & Emergency Management Trained

(paid for by Coeur dAlene Summer Theatre)

? Proactive, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a sense of humor

? Compassionate in nature

? Ability to stay calm in high pressure situations

? Flexible schedule able to work weekends and evenings

? A commitment to customer service with an ability to interact effectively with

people of different cultures and socio-economic experiences, free from prejudice

and aggressions.

Job Description:

House Usher & Monitor

? Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, navigate a graded walkway

inside the theater, walk up and down many steps when necessary, locate seat

locations without difficulty, etc.

Job Type & Pay Details:

? Reports to: Assistant House Manager

? Status: Part-Time, Seasonal

? Salary: \$15-\$18/hour (DOE)

environment, etc.

? This is a multi-hire position. We are looking for 3-5 House Usher/Monitors.

Seasonal Schedule:

? June - 10**, 27*, 28*, 29**, 30**

? July - 3*, 5*, 6**, 7***, 18*, 19*, 20**, 21**, 25*, 26*, 27**, 28**

? August - 8*, 9*, 10**, 11**, 15*, 16*, 17**, 18***

? *5pm - 11pm

? **12pm - 6pm

? ***12pm - 10pm
