rrPosition Summary:

rThis position collaborates with industry leaders, community stakeholders, and academic units and colleges to develop and expand existing course programming to serve the educational needs of the region\'s evolving workforce in alignment with the university\'s strategic plan. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with academic and student support units to advance initiatives aimed at increasing enrollment, persistence, and graduation rates and oversight of marketing and community engagement efforts. This position provides leadership in strategic planning and serves as a key advocate and ambassador for the University of Idaho Coeur d\'Alene, promoting its values, objectives, and commitment to educational excellence.

rrMinimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree

rrPreferred Qualifications:

  • Five years of leadership/supervisory management experience at director level or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and program management experience in higher education setting
  • Excellent communication and human-relations skills
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with college students
  • Experience in organizing educational seminars, programs, workshops, events, exhibits, fairs, etc.
  • Experience in facilitating group discussion and consensus building
  • Demonstrated success in promoting professional development among subordinates and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies, with faculty, administrators, and community partners
  • Ability to conduct independent research, collect and analyze data, and to deliver concise and accurate written and oral reports
  • Experience managing and overseeing departmental or program budgets
  • Demonstrated ability in designing and organizing effective and educational presentations
  • Higher education work experience in both academic affairs and student affairs
  • Experience leading/facilitating strategic planning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and independently.
  • Strong computer skills with a variety of software
  • Knowledge of issues pertaining to part-time working professional students and graduate programs
  • Knowledge and familiarity with academic programs offered by University of Idaho and regional community colleges
  • Knowledge of Northern Idaho community businesses, nonprofit organizations and educational institutions
  • Project management and administration experience with a focus on developing, recommending, and evaluating program procedures and recommending change
  • Experience in recruitment, admission, onboarding, first-year experience, and academic advising in a higher education setting
