Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Finance with a strong background in non-profit financial management and grant administration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of non-profit accounting principles, grant funding, and compliance requirements. As the Senior Director of Finance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and strategic planning of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

-Oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

-Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.

-Develop and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with senior leadership, program managers, and department heads.

-Coordinate and manage grant funding initiatives, including proposal development, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements.

-Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and regulations, including GAAP standards, IRS regulations, and grantor guidelines.

-Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance to senior management and the Board of Directors to support decision-making and organizational growth.

-Implement and maintain effective internal controls, processes, and systems to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

-Collaborate with fundraising and development teams to support grant-seeking efforts, donor reporting, and financial stewardship.

-Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to non-profit financial management and grant administration.

-Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, grantors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA designation preferred.

-Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management roles within the non-profit sector.

-Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting principles, fund accounting, and grant administration.

-Experience with grant writing, budgeting, reporting, and compliance for government grants, private foundations, and other grantors.

-Proven track record of strategic financial planning, budget management, and financial analysis.

-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

-Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as [mention specific software/tools relevant to your organization].

-Commitment to the mission and values of the firm and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.

-Experience working with Boards of Directors, finance committees, and audit committees is a plus.
