Saft Batteries in Cockeysville, Maryland, is looking for Battery Test Technicians.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Connecting and disconnecting batteries for testing.
  • Operation and programming of Temperature Chambers
  • Operation of computer controlled Charge and Discharge test equipment.
  • Processing of test data using Excel
  • Experience with the use of basic test equipment (Multi-meters, IR testers, Thermocouple meters, etc.
  • Set-up and operation of vibration and TVAC test equipment desirable.
  • Experience with electronics assembly and cable building desirable
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read blueprints and material specifications
  • Knowledge of inspection tools and equipment and laboratory protocol
  • Knowledge of calibration and test equipment
  • Experience in testing preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • AA degree or equivalent experience in technical-related field preferred
  • Good record keeping skills
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Working Conditions
  • May require some work in a Dry room atmosphere - low humidity, air conditioned
  • Safety glasses and shoes required
  • Standing - 50%
  • Sitting 50%
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • High Voltage DC training will be provided.
