Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. Shift Manager Maintenance in Coatesville, Pennsylvania

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Maintenance at the Melt Shop of our Coatesville operation. The Shift Manager Maintenance Melt Shop is responsible for ensuring the reliability of the mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance as well as directing maintenance personnel as needed in response to breakdowns. The ideal candidate will have prior steel industry experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations. Summary of Responsibilities

  • Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans

  • Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practices

  • Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plans

  • Monitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular audits

  • Leads employees' training and performance review programs. Improves overall production, processes and services efficiency

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in either Electrical or Mechanical engineering.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office

  • 3+ years work experience in heavy industry

  • Ability to read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical drawings.

  • Experience working with 480VAC systems,

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Steel manufacturing experiences preferred
