You will be responsible to provide Process Training, Process Control and Process Optimization to support to Field Service Representatives and Customers during commissioning activities, operation and warranty phases of Water Treatment Projects As a Support Specialist you will ensure that the applicable EH&S and department procedures, checklists and documentations are properly followed by site personnel. Ensure that Water Treatment Projects/Plants operate to meet process requirements during commissioning, performance test and warranty periods. Ensure complex systems that might include Conventional Technologies, Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, Ion Exchange Units, Thermal and other technologies operate within the design parameters. Proactively review Process Design Parameters, Process and Instrumentation Diagram, Mass Balances, and Performance Test Requirements prior to pre-commissioning phase in order to anticipate training, tools and/or laboratory equipment needed to perform the necessary startup and operating activities. Coordinate with Sub-Suppliers, Contractors and/or Consultants to ensure normal, transient and/or extreme operating conditions are met and/or proactively determine necessary adjustments. Ensure technical solutions are properly communicated to key stakeholders in order to expedite project execution. Assist Customers with best operating practices, development of SOP's, and training during commissioning activities and/or normal operation. Participated in Customer's SAT's, HAZOP, LOPA and related Control Systems reviews. Provide in-office and on-site project technical support during installation and commissioning phase, project closeout and warranty periods. Ability to collect and analyze relevant operating information from multiple sources, including control systems, databases, log sheets, daily operation logs and/or operator interactions in order to troubleshoot operational challenges. Work closely with the Process, Warranty and the Quality Teams to ensure that design and/or manufacturing defects issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or minimum 5 years' experience with VEOLIA Water's water treatment equipment including Filters, Incinerators, Clarifiers, Ultrafiltration, Evaporators, Crystallizers, Digestors, wastewater and industrial treatment plants. Valid passport and driver's license. Ability to travel (6090 days/year) throughout North America, and to other places in the world. Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams. Effective oral and written communication skills. Work independently with minimal direction and make decisions. Strong focus on customer relationships (both external and internal customers).
