Get started! Requisition Summary The corporate tax team is in the process of transforming processes and calculations using tools such as Alteryx. The Tax Manger position will provide an exceptional opportunity to become an expert in such tools. This role's main responsibility is over federal provision and compliance. However, this role will also be asked to participate in other projects such as the R&D credit documentation. The position reports to the Assistant Tax Director and is a key part of the succession plan for the Tax Department. This position works closely with the accounting department, other divisions, outside service providers and interns. Job Functions / Responsibilities Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's forecast, quarterly provision, and year end provision. Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal income tax returns and other business-related filings. Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures. Manage and facilitate federal and state audits as needed. Provide support for various internal audits and SOX compliance. Undertake tax research and planning projects. Assist with balance sheet reporting and tax account reconciliation. Provide tax advice and assistance to other departments across the company. Implement the use of modern technologies such as Alteryx and Bower BI. Other duties and special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong PC skills are required, including Word, Excel, OneSource Software. Experience with Alteryx software or willingness to learn the system. Experience with the Research and Development Tax Credit Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work with limited supervision. 5+ years of provision accounting experience with exposure to tax compliance. REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION Five+ years of tax accounting and compliance Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master of Taxation preferred CPA and/or advanced degree in tax strongly desired Experience with ASC 740 (FAS 109) for publicly traded multinational corporations, desired.
