Emerson Lead Software Developer in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania

As the Lead Software Developer, you will craft and develop new software and features to existing software and you will lead and mentor emerging engineers, driving best practices and processes to continuously improve the team’s execution. You will work closely with key collaborators to deliver significant value to our team, customers, and business!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • To collect requirements by working closely with our Product Management Team and customers.

  • To use a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns to craft software that promotes efficiency, testability, and maintainability.

  • To work within an agile process to build software that meets the requirements.

  • To define tasks and communicate efficiently with the team.

  • To apply continuous integration to automate builds, testing, and revision control.

  • To lead continuous improvements to the development process to aid efficiency and increase quality.

  • To closely lead work against the production schedule and provide progress updates, as well as report any issues or technical difficulties to the product manager regularly.

You facilitate an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders. You are aware of the skills needed to be successful in different situations and levels.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related work experience in IT Software development.

  • Experience in large code bases (C#, C++, .NET, and WPF) using Visual Studio, debugging, testing, and architectural design of UI.

  • Database development experience.

  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment to architect sophisticated software features and functionality in a maintainable and modular way.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Ability to build API Design Specifications.

  • Domain Driven Design Knowledge of software architectural principles.

  • Experience or Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.

  • Knowledge of Industrial network and serial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, etc.) and knowledge of Industrial Controls (DeltaV, etc.).

  • Experience planning and leading team projects to completion with minimal mentorship.
