Emerson Lead Engineer in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania

As the SIS Senior Engineer, you will have the ownership for implementing projects in different industries, delivering Safety Instrumented Systems such as Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire and Gas (FGS), or Burner Management Systems (BMS) in with DeltaV SIS. You will undertake SIS concept and detail design tasks for software and hardware, software implementation, internal tests, and factory acceptance tests. You will be able to support the Project SIS & DCS teams in the delivery of project-related engineering work and be responsible for the assigned scope.

The job implies Working from Home flexibility.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Customer Relations – empower SIS & DCS leads to master client requests, expertly handle project scope, and ensure detailed delivery while keeping senior engineers in the loop on changes.

  • Project Execution – coordinate the engineering activities (DeltaV SIS design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and start-up) on all allocated tasks and proactively use methodologies, resources, and techniques for minimizing the execution cost, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality standard.

  • Project Management – provide SIS and DCS Lead Engineers/Project Managers with all the support and information to ensure that they are fully advised of resource requirements, progress, and risk areas for the allocated tasks.

  • Quality control – ensure that all engineering activities are undertaken by the Company’s quality control processes and that the relevant standard is achieved – always enforce the company’s and customer's health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Technical knowledge – acquires, maintains, and actively shares knowledge and experience with the engineering team and the wider organization.

  • Small Projects – where the business determines that the scope of a project does not explain having a separate Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Engineer, then the roles will be combined, and the Engineer will undertake several roles.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering degree.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation project execution for different industry segments (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Metals & Mining, Pharma etc.) with Safety Instrumented Systems.

  • Computer literate (MS Office) with software programming skills.

  • Proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Willingness to travel with a European focus mainly for shorter periods (up to 50%) as required.

  • A third European language.
