Adecco Staffing Desktop Support Associate in Cloquet, Minnesota

Adecco is recruiting for a motivated Desktop Support Associate in Cloquet, MN. This is a temporary position expected to last 3 - 4 months, with the potential for an extension. The primary duties this person will be doing is replacing Windows 7 computers with Windows 10 computers - imaging them, setting them up with any applications the user needs. Responsibilities for a Desktop Support Associate include:

  • Installation and support of business computers and associated hardware and software. This includes but is not limited to printers, scanners, monitors, IP Phones, conference room equipment, etc.

  • Plans, implements, tests, documents and maintains desktop configuration solutions for existing and new systems.

  • Solves hardware/software problems and provides installation support for hardware/software upgrades

  • Develops and implements maintenance and upgrade plans and projects.

  • Understands team objectives and prioritized work accordingly.

  • Evaluates products, services, applications, software and industry developments for potential business impact.

  • Manages vendor relationships and service levels.

  • Manages the purchase of desktop equipment staying within the budget guidelines.

  • Maintain relationships with company departments to understand their needs and provide solutions.

  • Share in after-hours on call duties with team members.

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/IT related field or equivalent work experience

  • At least 6 months of related work experience (within the last five years)

    Special Skills and Certifications:

  • General network concepts such as (Email, Servers, Firewalls, DNS) and

  • General Desktop Application skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Windows 10, Anti-Virus, etc.)

  • Microsoft Active Directory

  • Computer imaging and inventory (Microsoft SCCM)

  • PowerShell Scripting

    Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour, based on experience

    Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday
