Universal Health Services Director - Outpatient Services in CLIVE, Iowa

Responsibilities

Director, Outpatient Services

Clive Behavioral Health opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources.

Qualifications

The Director provides the leadership and strategic planning for all outpatient units, ensuring the delivery of clinical programs that meet the needs of the hospital, community and each facility’s performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include the overall administrative processes of budgetary control and management systems for all services offered at each facility. This position contributes to the hospital’s strategic planning objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts while providing guidance to directors at each outpatient facility.

Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited university in the field of Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Nursing or another mental health related field preferred. Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience: Five (5) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.

Licensure: Current LMSW, LPC, LCSW, or RN (license issued by the State of Iowa).

Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agencies’ regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws regulating mental health care facilities. CPR and CPI training as outlined/required by facility.
