Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Clio, SC to find an experienced and eager Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join their growing team!

The main responsibility of an EHS Manager is to develop, implement, and manage environmental health and safety programs within a plant or business.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the programs are effective and compliant with all relevant regulations.

  • Conducting audits and inspections.

  • Providing training and communications on environmental health and safety topics.

  • Work to create safe working conditions.

  • Monitoring and reporting on environmental health and safety performance.

  • Environmental protection and emergency response coordination.

  • Legal compliance and keeping updated with legislation.

  • Employee well-being.

  • Conducts comprehensive safety training sessions, covering topics such as emergency evacuation and procedures, correct equipment sage, and handling of hazardous substances.

  • Maintain state, and federal safety and environmental legislation.

  • Knowledge of EHS regulations to ensure the company stays within compliance.

  • Develop and regularly review emergency response plans, conducting drills and training for employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 2-3 years of EHS experience.

  • Associate degree with minimum 2 years direct EHS experience.

  • Working knowledge of and proven experience in OSHA and EPA compliance in a manufacturing setting.

  • Proven experience as an "influence" leader.

  • Proven EHS auditing experience.

  • Motivated self-started with ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Skilled problem solver, specifically related to EHS issues and 3rd party audit findings.

  • Ability to multitask and collaborate with associates at all levels of the organization (up, down and across the organization).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to be physically active (lifting, standing, bending, reaching, etc.) and ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally and less weight frequently.

Pay Details: $24.04 to $28.85 per hour
